These are some of Audrey's first smiles, and when we could start to see her personality coming through. It's funny to see how much she's changed in just two months, but we can definetly see some changes in her face and size! lol

Future Meredith Angel?

I put her in her Meredith (Avenging) Angels onesie today that Mrs. Peterson, and CAP bought for Audrey. It reminds me of the story of when I told CAP Audrey was going to be a girl. When she was telling her mother, she asked CAP, "One question, can the baby go to Meredith?" The answer of course was a yes! I laugh everytime I think of it! YAY for College day at the Barker house. We are watching DUKE play Miami in the championship, and she's wearing a onesie with her mommy's almamatre.

Getting a little better

Today Audrey passed another wonderful milestone! We can see her becoming much more tactile. First it began as her reaching her fingers up to her face to suck on them, and pushing our hands toward her face when we were holding her bottle or pacifier. Lately she has been trying to hold her pacifier which unfortunetly seems to result in it being pulled out of her mouth. Today, when she was in her carseat where I have some hanging toys, she started to grab for her "little friends" and slap them around repeatedly. It was really neat. I have been waiting for that for a long time! It was really amazing!
We can tell that our Audrey is feeling a little better lately. Aside from a slightly upset tummy, and a runny nose, she's smiing and sleeping like her usual self. The good thing for her mommy and daddy is that we are even getting a little more sleep now that our baby is feeling better. Audrey played all weekend, and even went out a few times with us. Audrey likes the Pedialite we've been giving her to keep her hydrated, and is keeping down more of her food thankfully. Daddy can't get enough of holding his precious girl who likes daddy to rock her to sleep. We read her some more Dr. Suess and a little Alice in Wonderland.

Big Barker Feet

There's been a lot of amazement and talk about the size of my child's feet. Here are some pictures of her feet in relationship to our hands. As her Aunt Trisha said when she first met Audrey: Their like fingers! :-)

Sick baby

Audrey has been working through a cold for a few weeks. She had a doctor's appointment on Thursday and I was told that there was nothing wrong with her. That night however, she started having a high fever. Friday we took her back and the same doctor realized she has an ear infection. Her mommy knew there was something wrong! She is still smiling mostly, but she's crabby with a runny nose and an earache. Her fever is better, and she slept well last night. She's getting better and has had a good morning. It's her first time of really being sick! :-(

Anyways, here are pictures to make up for my absense, and so you can see how she's holding up. It's wierd but David and I still think she's cute even when she is mad and crying. You can see it's not all bad. She's still smiling sometimes!
